Born Too Late: The Poni Tails

This was released as the B-side of "Come on Joey, Dance With Me," but some DJs in Cleveland flipped the record and played this instead. In 1958, it went on to become a hit, and their only hit in the US.

Ahhh. I recall this one. It was popular during the time my mother wouldn’t let me leave the radio on while I fell asleep (due to some notion that I’d set the house on fire /?/ doing that), so I’d press my single earphone from my crystal set into service as a pillow speaker and fall asleep listening to such as this.

Ahhh, the life of a geek at ANY age! There’s almost always a way around obstacles.

      Rick,
For some reason I too recalled this one, and it was released before my interest in music and the radio.

I hid my light under the covers so I could read.
