I can still see that black and white TV commercial with Dinah wearing a formal, pouffy dress and standing next to a Chevy and ending the commercial by sending a kiss.

Absolutely! And since Dinah was on NBC, and NBC for years had a lock on color telecasting, I can also remember seeing her doing this in 50s-style, washed-out-color TV!
