This appears on his greatest hits album but it was released here in 1967 as a single.
I always have Donovan days when he is just the music I want to hear.

It seems strange that today we have forgotten that the album this comes from, A gift from a flower to the garden” was one of the most influential double disc releases of its time.It was the first double album to be actually “boxed” .Funnily enough it was the first pop album to be marketed as such and it gave Donovan an immense cachet in the underground music scene for his boldness. It also was Donovan’s first move into his “Scottish folk” period.I once asked him (in an interview I did with him in 1986) why he had gone into this direction. He said:” I honestly believe that there is a unconscious part of me that rives these songs. A glimpse into a past forgotten”

sblake,
That is one album I just do not have. I have bits and pieces but not the album itself.
Again, I now know what I didn’t as I would never have guessed the album has such prominence.
