What the heck is this ?

This isn’t The Shadows…The Shadows are Hank and Bruce (and Jet and Tony), The Shadows are Apache, and Foot Tapper and Wonderful Land, The Shads are on the bus with Cliff going to Greece with Una Stubbs (she of Till Death Us Do Part fame)AND The Shadows were loved by Lennon “before Cliff and The Shadows, there had been nothing worth listening to in British music”.
This isn’t right…I DEMAND a full Shads apology and even perhaps a really cool Shads tune…Hank Marvin rules This isn’t right 🙂

      My Dear Hedley,
Sad to say, but this is indeed The Shadows. I went looking again and found a site (now listed by link in the description) which discusses this album and song. It lists the wrong composer of the song, but it does indeed mention Hank and the boys.

Well, maybe it was like the pretend Shads or you made the link..I felt no urge to toe tap to this cover. In fact I wish I had never heard it, I was much happier humming Apache.
Where is Cliff when you need him ?

The Shadows are my heroes. I started playing guitar because of Hank Marvin. My brother and I collected all his albums and I was privileged to meet him recently (He now lives in Australia, in Perth WA) and had time to talk about guitar playing…….

      sblake,
You know so many of the lesser know, that is lesser known to me groups. Some day I want a list so I can hunt them down and play a few on Coffee. I love introducing different groups.

    Sblake and Kat
I have been “rude” enough to throw in a little Shads on the site – I hope that you dont mind.
Loved the Shadows and for that matter Cliff Richard, honestly is there anything more fun that Cliff belting out “The Young Ones”
Kat you are welcome to impose a lifetime ban on embedding but I couldnt resist a little Shadows for a Friday (plus I worked out how to embed)
