    Saw the movie (Summer of 42) in Brisbane, Australia on a drear wintry night a long time ago. The movie warmed me up considerably; and I took the long bus ride home dreaming it was me in the film. Needless to say, I fell heavily for Jennifer O’Neill. What young man could not?

      I never saw the movie, but I saw it as a play at our local playhouse.

      I can understand your reaction. I suspect many teenage boys had the same dream.

    Just wonderful. The music, the words, and that voice create such a feeling of nostalgia in the listener.

    Every time I listen to Johnny Mathis I am mesmerized by his voice. This is such a lovely song.
