I am really fond of this song – especially Rod Stewart’s version from “Every Picture Tells a Story” (Donut)

Of course RTB was originally the A side of the single and the B side was Maggie May. Guess that changed rather quickly.

Fab song, great version, lovely choice 🙂

      My Dear Hedley,
I’d never heard the Rod Stewart cover so I did some hunting. I only found a live, unplugged version, not the one from the album. I think I’d like to hear that one before I decide how much I like it.

I did find the Bobby Darin version, a copy of Tim’s.

The unplugged is not very good (like almost everything Rod did in later years)

Hopefully you hear his fab version from EPTAS which remains one of my all time favorite discs

Did you get Steeleye Span yet ? I am still waiting for my copy.

    My Dear Hedley,
That was the only version I could find, and I wasn’t happy either.

I got an e-mail that Steeleye has been sent.
