I was very sad to read that Crispian St Peters had faced significant health issues for the last 15 years. Another of those artists who’s brief window in the sixties helped colour many of my memories.

      My Dear Hedley,
I remember hi, song so well. He’s lasted in my head far longer than he ever did on the radio.

Never heard this version before. Quite interesting. Is he covering We Five or did they cover him? Thanks for opening my ears!

This was written by Sylvia Tyson of the Canadian folk duo Ian & Sylvia. They recorded it for their 1964 album Northern Journey.

      sblake,
I think I knew she’d written it but had forgotten. Their recording, then, was the earliest, and, like many of their songs, became a hit when someone else released it.
