I had a friend back in the 70s who was the east coast distributor for the company that this movie. It was her most famous property.

I don’t know if you’ve seen it, but it is one of the finer spoofs of all those B movies, including the ones from Japan.

Trivia factoid: The helicopter crash in the movie was for real. The engine conked out while they were filming a take off. Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt and the film makers shot an insert scene where kamikaze tomatoes hurled themselves into the copter’s engine!
