Wow, another great song without the “V” word.

There was a lot of discussion about this last week after Mary Wilson died. The chemistry between Marvin and Tammi ignited the vocals, and can be seen on the few videos that exist of the two of them. Tammi collapsed into Marvins arms at a concert and left us at the very early age of 24

This version features the Funk Brothers in Studio A of Motown and the Detroit Symphony. Dusty wanted it, Diana messed with it but this moment for Marvin and Tammi at Hitsville is literally perfect.

Marvin wasn’t the same after she was gone but gifted us one of the great albums of all time “”what’s going on”

Happy Valentines Day Kat, from Hitsville.

      My Dear Hedley,
The chemistry was remarkable. They sang amazing duets. I bypassed all the covers of this song to post Marvin and Tammi. She was so young. Diana recorded it in 1970. It was fine but not as fine as this.

I hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day.
