One of my favorite songs and June Tabor is just perfect.
I grew up and still live in a region of now gone cloud factories and this moving song describes it so well.
Do you remember that you asked us to write a guest post some years ago? It was on occasion of a blog anniversary I think. This song was part of the post I started to write back then but never finished and sent it.

I can’t find words to describe this amazing transformation. I would never have thought all those spewing factories could be shut, destroyed. The difference is extraordinary.

I didn’t remember about the guests posts, but it is still a good idea though I’m sorry to have usurped your post.
This becomes such a sad song. It has layers of feelings and memories intertwined. June Tabor’s voice is amazing and expresses so well the feelings.
