“Look at this mess! And where’s the mop?”

When I woke up, it was cloudy but a few minutes later we had sun. It has been this way all morning. I wish Mother Nature would make up her mind. We now have sun, warmth and a breeze, a not so small breeze.

I did my laundry, but it is in a basket in the living room. It is so heavy I stopped halfway. Today I’ll bring it upstairs and put it away.

Today I am a sloth. I figure reading is the best way to while around the day. I hope I can muster enough energy to turn the pages.

When I was a kid, I never thought of staying inside on a beautiful day. School couldn’t end fast enough. Recess was a tease.

My larder is full. Peapod delivered yesterday. This morning I had a banana and an English muffin.

I read recipes and cut and save some from the newspapers and magazines. Usually my spice cabinet has everything I need for exotic foods. Yesterday I copied down the ingredients for dukkah, an Egyptian condiment of spices, herbs and nuts. I made a list of the main spices: sesame seed, coriander seed, cumin seeds and sea salt. I checked my list ( yes, I have a list in alphabetical order) of spices. I have all of them I just need hazelnuts.

My guest room is a mess. The cat litter, food and scratching post sort of thing are there. Christmas bags are over one bed. Each bag has the name of a family member or friend and contains the gifts I’ve bought for each. The other bed has gifts I need to sort. I hate messes, but I have no idea how to clean up this one.

That’s it for today. I have run out of words.

    Kat,
I know the feeling. I finally made my bed and ( which takes a long time because it is a low futon ,where I side is against the wall) ihate messes but they love me.

    Take Care,
    Lori and her odd friends.

      Lori,
I wish I could close my eyes when I go into the guest room, but cleaning litter would be difficult without my eyes. I have to find storage boxes for all the bags when I’m done sorting and shopping.
