Kat,
I’ve never heard this song before. Yes, I agree that was Mama Cass. There are so many talented people who died so young from that period, and not from all from illegal drugs. I may have the years mixed up, but Mimi Farina– and later on Kate Wolf, and one of the Roche sisters.
A toast to their music,
Lori

Incredible clip. (Of course, it’s Janis.) Cass Elliot in the audience is diggin’ it too.

Rowen,
As soon as the music started, I was hooked, then she started singing. She had me with every sound, every note.
Do you think wearing “shades” hid it was Mama Cass?

As if anyone wouldn’t have recognized her. Well, she is outside.

True enough! Mama Cass would be easy to recognize despite the shades.

Yet another voice of our generation who was silenced too young from illegal drugs and alcohol.

I always wonder how her music would have evolved.
She absolutely died too young.

Ahh Janis.
A candle burning at both ends.

Lori,
They did have Mama Cass on the screen below her camera shot so it was definitely her. You’re right: sadly, so many died young.
