Wondered if you knew of the song “My White Bicycle” by the UK band, Tomorrow. Released in the summer of 1967, it was said to have been inspired by the Dutch “Provos”, an anarchist group in Amsterdam which had a community bicycle programme and some of the free bikes they provided were painted white. People could get a white bicycle on the street and when they were finished they left it where someone else could use it.

The rock band Nazareth did a cover version in 1975, but I prefer the original.

lynchiefromab,
This is the first time I’ve ever heard this. Not only that but I hadn’t heard of Tomorrow either.
Thanks for the background on the white bicycles as it does give the whole song some context for me.
I love the 1967 sound of this song. Thanks!!!
