No, I haven’t been frozen solid despite the cold. I am huddled under my wonderfully warm afghan on the couch staying warm. The temperature is in the 40’s, more like early April than June, and it is, as usual, raining. Today’s lateness is due to my left eye having been lased this morning. My eye is wonky right now and feels as if the eyelid is at half mast though it isn’t.
Gracie woke me up at five. My alarm had been set for six so I stayed up and watched the local news and MSNBC. I’ve decided I need to vent my emotions by throwing soft stuff at my TV. A Republican representative just said that Trump has the best cabinet in the history of the United States. Where is a Nerf blaster when I need one?
I am begging off of today. I need another nap and my wonky eye needs a rest. I just eye-dropped it and now my world is hazy. Come to think of it, though, that may be just the world and not my eye.

Hi Kat,
That Republican Rep is obviously indulging in delusional thinking. But it doesn’t matter. Even if 45 had the best cabinet in the universe, it would not be able to function while being constantly undercut and back-stabbed by its POTUS. And neither can we. A Nerf gun sounds therapeutic.
It’s raining. I’ve been outside a few times already. The dogs are not pleased. At 1st pee break this morning, Piki Dog ran under the arbor vitae, dug himself a cozy bowl in the dry needles, curled up and refused to come out. He was not participating in outside activities any longer. Can’t say as I blame him.
The heat is on in the house. I am pinned to a spot on the couch by two warm dogs who also smell strongly of whatever the groomer used to clean them. It’s a bit throat catching but not unpleasant.:)

I just had my second nap, and my eye is still a bit wonky. I don’t remember if my first eye was the same way.
Whenever a Republican is interviewed on MENBC, I want to scream. They repeat the party line which is, as you wrote, delusional.
It rained on and off all day here but it was mist rather than drops of rain. Gracie is fine with mist, but I figure she would sympathize with Piki Dog as Gracie hates going out in heavy rain.
My heat too is on. I’m finally warm. I’ve had two naps, and I’m still tired. Gracie never gets groomed. She is generally clean. Boxers don’t have a whole lot of fur.

Sunny, windy and warm here today. The predictions for tomorrow varies a lot depending on what weather site oine look at but I guess rain is what we’ll have.

It was an ugly day the whole day. I don’t think we’re getting sun until Thursday or Friday. Heavy rain is on the way.
It has been warm only a couple of days so far so we’re due for some nice weather.

Unfortunately for the country Trump picked the perfect cabinet for his purpose. He wants to dismantle the Federal governmet. Jeff Sessions is a racist reactionary who will take the Justice department back to the good old days of the 1950s before the civil rights movement. Rick Perry heads the department he wanted to eliminate when he ran for President but couldn’t remember the name of the agency or what they did. Betsy Devoss hates public education and heads the education department. The list goes on and on. For conservative Republicans they are betting that Trump’s cabinet will take down their agencies and cut the Federal budget to only cover defense.

He chose opponents of the very principles on what each cabinet department stood for before Trump and his adversarial principles became president.
Sadly I think the conservative Republicans are right.
