Never heard the lyric to this until now but always wondered about the title. Thanks.
Rowen, I often look up lyrics when I hear a new song or when I don’t know much about an old one. I always thought this one a sad song.
Kat, Van Morrison added this to his show for a while and it was the first time that I had paid attention to the song.
My Dear Hedley, I first this a long while back but I don’t remember by whom. Ot may have been Dave Van Ronk.
Hot Lips Page was one of great trumpet player of the 20s & 30s. He always put on a good performance
Thanks, Doug I didn’t know anything about him, but I love his version of the song.
